  • White Sox's Korey Lee: Pops eighth home run

Lee went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Saturday against the Rockies.

Lee added insurance runs in the eighth inning of Saturday's win by popping his eighth home run of the season. Despite going yard three times in his last 12 games, Lee is in a lengthy slump, hitting just .175 across 80 at-bats in June. Also hurting Lee's fantasy value is that he's lost at-bats at designated hitter due to a combination of his struggles and the return of Eloy Jimenez.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Tallies ninth homer

Robert went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and two runs scored Saturday against the Rockies.

Robert went deep in the sixth inning to record his ninth home run of the season and second in his last three games. He also has at least one hit in eight of last 10 starts, tallying seven runs scored and two stolen bases in that span.

  • White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: Active in win

Sosa went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 11-3 win over the Rockies.

Sosa singled in the third inning, hit a two-run home run in the fifth and then walked and scored in the eighth. Entering Saturday, Sosa was in a 2-for-33 slump, but he broke out of it in a big way. On the season, the 24-year-old is now hitting .218 with three homers, 11 RBI and eight runs scored over 132 plate appearances.

  • White Sox's Paul DeJong: Homers, drives in three in win

DeJong went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 11-3 win over the Rockies.

DeJong gave the White Sox the lead on a two-run home run in the sixth and added an RBI single and a run scored in the eighth. This was the shortstop's second multi-hit game in a row, and he is now tied for second at the position in home runs on the season with 15. The 30-year-old is also hitting .241 with 34 RBI and 33 runs scored over 280 plate appearances in 2024.

  • White Sox's Jonathan Cannon: Allows three runs in no-decision

Cannon did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 11-3 win over the Rockies, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Cannon surrendered a solo home run to Brendan Rodgers in the second inning and a two-run homer to Nolan Jones in the fifth. He departed before the White Sox erupted for 11 runs, but it was nice to see the rookie rebound with a solid effort after allowing eight runs (five earned) in one inning June 23. On the season, the 23-year-old owns a 4.62 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB through 39 innings and lines up to face the Marlins next week.

  • White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Sitting Saturday

Jimenez is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Jimenez will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout after starting in the last two games, going 1-for-6 with one walk. It's a planned off day for Jimenez, who is still working his way back from a left hamstring strain. Gavin Sheets (heel) will serve as the designated hitter and bat in the cleanup spot against Colorado right-hander Cal Quantrill.

  • White Sox's Gavin Sheets: Starting Saturday

Sheets (heel) is serving as the designated hitter and batting in the cleanup spot for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Sheets returns to the starting lineup Saturday after missing the last two games due to a bruised left heel he sustained Wednesday against the Dodgers. The 28-year-old lefty pinch hit in the bottom of the sixth inning of Friday's 5-3 win over Colorado, reaching base on an intentional walk in his only at-bat. For the month of June, Sheets is slashing .257/.321/.419 with three home runs and nine RBI over 74 at-bats.

  • White Sox's Michael Kopech: Bags seventh save

Kopech earned the save in Friday's 5-3 win over the Rockies, pitching a scoreless inning and working around a walk.

The 28-year-old entered the ninth with a two-run lead and looked to immediately be in danger, as he opened with six-pitch walk to Ryan McMahon. However, Kopech induced two consecutive groudouts, including one of the double-play variety, to escape with just his second save in June. The Chicago right-hander lowered his season ERA to 4.46 over 34.1 innings, as he appears to have seized control of the closer's role over John Brebbia for the time being.

  • White Sox's Drew Thorpe: Secures second victory

Thorpe (2-1) earned the win Friday versus Colorado, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out four.

The Chicago right-hander shined in this outing, allowing just three baserunners en route to his second straight quality start. The only blemish on Thorpe's performance was a two-run homer allowed to Brenton Doyle in the sixth inning. Over his first four career starts, the White Sox rookie sports a 4.43 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 13:12 K:BB across 20.1 innings. He's currently slated to make his next appearance against the Guardians in Cleveland.

  • White Sox's Matt Foster: Rehab continuing at Triple-A

Foster (elbow) was transferred to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Foster made three appearances in the Arizona Complex League, allowing one run on four hits across three innings. The 27-year-old will take the next, and possibly final, step in his rehab by pitching at Triple-A. Foster hasn't pitched in the majors since Sept. 2022 due to Tommy John surgery. He could be cleared in late July.

  • White Sox's Corey Knebel: Begins assignment at High-A

Knebel (shoulder) began a rehab assignment with High-A Winston-Salem on Friday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Knebel has been held out of action since tearing his right shoulder capsule in August of 2022. He made three appearances in the Arizonal Complex League, throwing 3.1 scoreless innings, and he'll now test his shoulder against some tougher competition. Once fully recovered, the 32-year-old righty will likely report to Triple-A Charlotte, though a lack of depth in the White Sox's bullpen and potential trades could eventually allow him to return to the majors for the first time in two seasons.

  • White Sox's Gavin Sheets: Not in starting nine

Sheets (heel) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Colorado.

Sheets will be absent from the starting lineup for a second consecutive game since being removed Wednesday with a left heel contusion. While it's possible he wouldn't have been in the lineup even if fully healthy, Sheets should still be considered day-to-day.

  • White Sox's Dominic Fletcher: Beginning rehab assignment

Fletcher (shoulder) has been sent to the White Sox' Arizona Complex League affiliate to begin a rehab assignment, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.

Fletcher has missed most of this month after suffering a left shoulder strain, but he's been cleared to test things out in a game setting. The 26-year-old figures to eventually move up to a higher affiliate to continue his rehab, but it isn't necessarily a given he'll rejoin the major-league roster once activated from the 10-day injured list.

  • White Sox's Michael Kopech: Earns sixth save

Kopech struck out one while not allowing a hit or a walk during the ninth inning Thursday to pick up the save against Atlanta.

A fielding error is all that prevented a 1-2-3 outing from Kopech, who collected his first save since May 15 after having blown his previous three opportunities. Kopech carries an impressive K/9 rate of 13.0, collecting 48 strikeouts over 33.1 innings. However, he's also allowed 48 batters to reach base (1.44 WHIP), including allowing 1.9 homers and 5.1 walks per nine innings. Kopech is a piece the White Sox will strongly consider selling at the trade deadline and will look for more performances like he provided Thursday to help them maximize the return they might get for him.

  • White Sox's Luis Robert: Blasts eighth homer

Robert went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday's 1-0 win over Atlanta.

Robert's eighth blast of the season came in the first inning off Chris Sale and was the only run to cross the plate on the day. It was just the fourth multi-hit game of the season for Robert, who missed a couple months earlier this season with a hip flexor strain. While he has struggled to the tune of a .204 batting average and 38 strikeouts over 114 plate appearances for the moribund White Sox, his AB/HR ratio of 12.9 is a career-best mark and portends to good things to come for the 26-year-old slugger.

  • White Sox's Chad Kuhl: Tosses three innings in spot start

Kuhl did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing no runs on one hit and two walks over three-plus innings against Atlanta. He struck out three.

Kuhl pitched well, facing one batter over the minimum through his three innings. He then came out for the fourth but was pulled after allowing a leadoff double to Ozzie Albies. Kuhl, who had thrown 99 pitches in long relief Sunday, was making his first start since April of 2023. Thursday's outing doesn't appear to be anything more than a spot start for the 31-year-old righty, who will likely return to the bullpen.
