New city, new team, new jersey, same love from the crowd.

Veteran guard Derek Fisher made his debut for the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night after his tenure as a fan favorite for the Los Angeles Lakers came to an abrupt end when he was traded to the Houston Rockets at last week's trade deadline.

A steady veteran voice with five championship rings on his resume, Fisher's basketball intelligence, leadership and poise were prized commodities at Staples Center, even as his athleticism slipped and age started to catch up with him.

The Chesapeake Energy Arena crowd showed Wednesday that they were eager to welcome Fisher -- who officially signed with the Western Conference's No. 1 seed earlier during the day -- by treating him to an extended standing ovation when he checked into a game against the Los Angeles Clippers late in the first quarter.

Here's the video of Derek Fisher getting a standing ovation in his Oklahoma City debut. Fisher wore jersey No. 37. Fisher is 37 years old.
