Charlotte Hornets' wing Jeff Taylor was arrested at an East Lansing hotel in Michigan early Thursday morning. Taylor has been charged with domestic assault, assault, and malicious destruction of property, according WCNC in Charlotte.

His bond has been set at $5,000 and details of the incident are still being gathered. 

Jeffery Matthew Taylor, 25, was arrested at the East Lansing Marriott at University Place around 1 a.m. Thursday.

Taylor is charged with one count of domestic assault, assault and malicious destruction of property.

Taylor is entering his third season in the league after being drafted 31st in the 2012 draft by Charlotte. He played just 26 games last season with his last game coming on December 20 when he ruptured his right Achilles' tendon. He had started eight games and was averaging 8.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 24.2 minutes.

This incident comes just a couple days after commissioner Adam Silver stated the issues going on in the NFL have prompted the NBA to take a "fresh look" at their own policies regarding exisiting punishments and policies.
