Pelicans' Dejounte Murray: Dealt to New Orleans
The Hawks traded Murray to the Pelicans on Friday in exchange for two future first-round picks, Dyson Daniels and Larry Nance, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Murray averaged a career-high 22.5 points, along with 6.4 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals, in 35.7 minutes across 78 games in 2023-24. However, his fit alongside Trae Young was troubling, especially on the defensive end. In New Orleans, Murray will likely return to his natural point guard spot and will be flanked on the wing by CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram.

Pelicans' Jeremiah Robinson-Earl: Team option picked up
The Pelicans informed Robinson-Earl on Friday that they will exercise his $2.2 million team option for 2024-25, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
After spending his first two professional seasons in Oklahoma City, Robinson-Earl joined the Pelicans in 2023-24 and made 39 regular-season appearances (one start). He averaged 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per game. Robinson-Earl will presumably be an end-of-bench frontcourt option again in 2024-25.

Pelicans' Jose Alvarado: Sticks in New Orleans
The Pelicans exercised Alvarado's $1.99 million team option for 2024-25 on Friday, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
An undrafted point guard out of Georgia Tech in 2021, Alvarado has solidified himself as the Pelicans' top backup point guard over the last three seasons and will likely maintain that role heading into 2024-25. During this past season, Alvarado averaged 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 18.4 minutes per game across 56 appearances.

Pelicans' Antonio Reeves: Headed to New Orleans
Reeves was drafted by the Pelicans with the No. 47 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Reeves spent the final two seasons of his collegiate career at Kentucky before declaring for the NBA Draft. In 2023-24, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 33 games. Reeves's greatest strength is his outside shot, which he displayed by converting 44.7 percent of his 5.7 three-point attempts per contest last year.

Pelicans' Yves Missi: Drafted 21st by New Orleans
Missi was selected with the No. 21 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Pelicans.
With Jonas Valanciunas a pending free agent, adding a center was toward the top of the Pelicans' wish list this offseason. They'll fill that hole with Missi, who's a very intriguing prospect at 20 years of age out of Baylor. He's 6-foot-11 with a long wingspan, a good mover and a true rim runner. Missi's a high quality rim protector -- putting up 1.5 blocks per game over 23.0 minutes without fouling out once in 34 games -- and a strong offensive rebounder. If Valanciunas walks, Missi could have a role in the Pelicans' frontcourt as a rookie.
