  • Thunder's Cason Wallace: Not likely to play in Summer League

Coach Mark Daigneault said Saturday that Wallace is not likely to suit up for the Thunder during Summer League, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Wallace had a solid rookie season on a stacked roster, appearing in 82 regular-season games for the Thunder. The 20-year-old averaged 6.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.9 steals across 20.6 minutes per game. While Wallace had a productive rookie season, it is slightly surprising the team wouldn't want the young guard to pick up extra reps during the offseason in the Summer League.

  • Thunder's Cormac Ryan: Inks deal with OKC

The Thunder signed Ryan to an Exhibit 10 deal Friday, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Ryan transferred to North Carolina for his final collegiate season in 2023-24 and averaged 11.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and assists across 36 appearances, including 34 starts. After going undrafted, Ryan will now have the opportunity to compete for a roster spot with the Thunder.

  • Thunder's Malevy Leons: Headed to OKC

The Thunder signed Leons to an Exhibit 10 contract Thursday.

Leons averaged 13.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 assists across 35 games for Bradley in 2023-24. He will now look to compete for a roster spot in Oklahoma City.

  • Thunder's Quinten Post: Traded to Golden State

Post's (leg) draft rights were re-acquired by the Warriors from the Thunder in exchange for cash, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Slater notes in acquiring Post, the Warriors are now firmly against the second apron and their roster can't exceed $189.5 million for the upcoming season. That reduces Klay Thompson's potential salary and complicates the Chris Paul guaranteed date, which is Friday. Slater also notes Post has a minor leg injury that could prevent him from playing in Summer League. When asked about Post's fit with the team, general manager Mike Dunleavy responded, "We believe in the shooting. His free-throw shooting is really good. His pick-and-pop percentage is really good. ... You want players who can do more than one thing. We think he rebounds, defends at a level at the rim that's NBA acceptable. Good passer."

  • Thunder's Alex Ducas: Agrees to two-way deal with Thunder

Ducas agreed to a two-way deal with the Thunder on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

While Ducas isn't the most gifted athlete, he plays with a ton of effort on defense and is a willing passer and solid three-point shooter. He ended his senior year at Saint Mary's with averages of 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.4 triples per contest on 45.3 percent shooting, and he'll continue to develop in Oklahoma City, where he'll spend a decent amount of time with its G League program.

  • Thunder's Quinten Post: Selected by OKC in second round

Post was drafted by the Thunder with the No. 52 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, which was acquired from the Warriors for Lindy Waters, Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reports.

As a senior at Boston College, Post was named to the ACC All-Second Team and earned ACC All-Defensive Team honors. He's a 7-footer who can stretch the floor and block shots, giving him a similar vibe to Chet Holmgren, though Post weighs 244 pounds. The rookie has also shown some playmaking upside and can finish with floaters on the short roll. He'll presumably work for backup center minutes but could share the floor with Holmgren at times too.

  • Thunder's Ajay Mitchell: Selected by OKC at No. 38

Mitchell, via a trade with the Knicks, was selected by the Thunder with the No. 38 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Mitchell is a combo guard coming off his junior year at UC Santa Barbara, and he was named to the All-Big West First Team in each of the past two seasons. He led the Big West in points per game (20.0) last season. His mediocre athleticism and shaky shooting until last year likely led to his draft stock being where it is, despite plenty of playmaking and scoring ability. Mitchell will fight for reserve guard minutes on the Thunder as a rookie, which won't be easy to come by.

  • Thunder's Nikola Topic: Unlikely to play for OKC in 2024-25

Thunder general manager Sam Presti said Thursday that he doesn't expect Topic (knee) to play for Oklahoma City during the upcoming season, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.

Even a fully healthy Topic would have faced an uphill battle to earn meaningful minutes as a 19-year-old rookie on a deep Thunder roster, so Oklahoma City is content to view the 2024-25 season as a redshirt year for the No. 12 pick in the draft, who suffered a partial ACL tear in his left knee in late April. Per Joel Lorenzi of The Oklahoman, Topic said that he doesn't have a full grasp on a recovery timeline for his injury, which will likely depend on the type of surgery he undergoes on the compromised ACL. He'll first meet with the Thunder training staff before a treatment plan as well as a recovery timeline are established. Listed at 6-foot-6 with a 6-foot-11 wingspan, Topic is a big point guard who's a gifted passer but a shaky perimeter shooter, making his skill set somewhat reminiscent of Josh Giddey, whom the Thunder recently traded to the Bulls. Though he won't be a factor in the Thunder rotation during the upcoming campaign, Topic is expected to be around the team and conduct his rehab in Oklahoma City, much like 2022 No. 2 overall pick Chet Holmgren did in his first professional season while recovering from a foot injury.

  • Thunder's Dillon Jones: Selected No. 26, traded to OKC

Jones was selected with the No. 26 pick by the Knicks in the 2024 NBA Draft before being dealt to the Thunder, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Jones spent four years at Weber State and ended his final season with averages of 20.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.1 triples, 2.0 steals and 3.0 turnovers per contest on 48.9 percent shooting from the floor and 85.7 percent from the line. He'll compete with Luguentz Dort, Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe for forward minutes in Oklahoma City, but he isn't likely to make much of an impact during his rookie season.

  • Thunder's Nikola Topic: Goes 12th overall to Thunder

Topic (knee) was selected by the Thunder with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

While the Thunder, who owned the Rockets' pick, had a chance to add an instant-impact player, they instead opted to add a future piece in Topic. The 18-year-old out of Serbia is one of the more intriguing guards in the draft, possessing excellent scoring and playmaking ability at 6-foot-6. However, he's recovering from a partially torn ACL in his left knee, and his availability for the upcoming season is uncertain. Even if he's cleared to play at some point in 2024-25, the Thunder view Topic as a developmental player, so he's unlikely to make much of an impact in Year 1 for one of the best rosters in the Western Conference.
